All About Premium

Welcome!

PhraseMix Premium is an amazing way to improve your English listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. When you subscribe, you get access to over 1,000 natural-sounding recordings of English example sentences.

This page will answer some of your questions about PhraseMix Premium:

First, if you have a problem with subscribing, you can email help@mediapass.com. The service hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm on the West Coast of the U.S., so it might take a while to get a response.

You can also email aaron@phrasemix.com. I can't fix everything, but I might be able to help a little more quickly.

There are 2 ways to subscribe:

1) Visit the "PhraseMix Premium" page:

When you visit the link "PhraseMix Premium", you'll go to the page which Premium users have access to. You'll be able to see that page for a second, and then a box will pop up. It looks like this:

Start by entering your information in the white area on the left. You choose your own password. Your "Postal Code" is a number that the post office uses when they deliver your mail. After you've entered this information, click "Continue".

Next you will see a screen where you can choose how long you'd like to sign up for. Choose the one you want and click "Continue".

Finally, you enter your payment information. You can enter your credit card information on this screen. Or you can pay with PayPal.

To use PayPal, choose the "Paypal" button where it says "Select Payment Method". A button will appear which will take you to Paypal's site. There, you can sign in with your account or create a new account for yourself. When you finish paying, PayPal will send you back to PhraseMix.

2) Subscribe on a lesson page

At the bottom of each lesson page, there's a gray box. Start by entering your information in the boxes on the right side of that box. You choose your own password. Your "Postal Code" is a number that the post office uses when they deliver your mail.

After you've entered this information, click "Continue".

Next you will see a screen where you can choose how long you'd like to sign up for. Choose the one you want and click "Continue".

Finally, you enter your payment information. You can enter your credit card information on this screen. Or you can pay with PayPal.

What do I get?

As a PhraseMix Premium subscriber, you can listen to audio for the main example sentence in each "Daily English Phrases" lesson. There are over 1,000 lessons on the site which you can listen to. Each week, there will be at least 5 new lessons with new sentences for you to listen to.

PhraseMix Premium subscribers can also access the PhraseMix Premium learners' page. This page will have new posts each week with extra material to help you memorize and understand English phrases.

You'll be put on the Premium subscribers email list.

You'll also be first to get any invitations and discounts that go out to PhraseMix readers.

How do I get the audio?

Once you've subscribed, you'll be able to listen to the audio on the normal lesson pages. Click on one of the headlines on the Home page or the Daily English Phrases page to go to a lesson page. When you're logged in, it will look like this at the bottom of the lesson:

That's it! Play the sentence with the blue "play" button. The yellow button will make the sentence repeat over and over again.

After a while, your web browser may log you out. Instead of the audio player, you'll see the gray box pictured below. To log back in, click the green "Sign-In" link on the lower left:

Fill in your name and password. A link will appear to take you to the audio player.

How should I use PhraseMix Premium?

This is how I suggest using the audio lessons on PhraseMix to improve your English skill:

Read the lesson. Start with the situation. Try to imagine yourself in that situation. Then read the example sentence.
Read the explanation. The goal is not to understand everything about the sentence; it's just to understand what it means and why the speaker used those words and phrases.
Listen to the example sentence and practice pronouncing it carefully. Think of it as a song or an animal sound instead of as words. Don't say the words you hear; copy the sounds.
Keep listening. Listen 20 or 30 times, until you remember every word. There's a "repeat" button on the audio player that will help you with that. Leave the page, come back the next day, and listen some more.
Now this sentence is yours. You'll start to see and hear it everywhere when you're reading or speaking. Soon you'll start to use parts of the sentence in your own speaking and writing.

How much does PhraseMix Premium cost?

The subscription price is $9 USD per month. That's $108 per year.

If you sign up for a 6-month subscription, you'll pay $48 USD, which is $8 per month.

If you sign up for a 1-year subscription, you'll pay $84 USD. That's only $7 per month.

How will I be billed?

You will be billed the full amount for the term that you sign up for ($12, $60, or $96).

At the end of your subscription period (1 month, 6 months, or 12 months), you'll be billed again for the same amount. If you don't want this to happen, you'll need to cancel your subscription.

Billing for PhraseMix Premium is processed by MediaPass.com. The name that will show up on your credit card or PayPal receipt is "Media Mogul", which is the company that runs MediaPass.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, send an email to help@mediapass.com with the subject "Cancel PhraseMix.com subscription". Tell them your name and email address.

You will continue to have access until the end of your subscription period (1 month, 6 months, or 12 months), but you won't be charged again to continue your membership.

If you're really unsatisfied with PhraseMix Premium and want your money back, you'll need to ask for a refund.

Can I get a refund?

Yes.

If you're not happy with PhraseMix Premium, please send an email to aaron@phrasemix.com with the subject "Refund for PhraseMix Premium". Please explain why you're unhappy with the service.

You will be refunded for the rest of your subscription period.
